A Christian life is different.

“The life of a Christian is to be different than the life of the unbeliever.”

The Fulfillment of All Desire by Ralph Martin, pg. 209

I love this quote. It helps me realize that I’m living a life for Jesus.

Following Jesus is NOT easy. Anything worth pursuing is not easy. Trust me, Jesus is worth pursuing!! :)

In my experience of transitioning from a non-practicing Catholic to a practicing Catholic did not happen over night. At first I still wanted part of my old life, along with following Jesus. A life of parties, way too much alcohol, and doing what I wanted to do from Monday to late Saturday night. But as I grew in my relationship with Jesus (I’m still growing) I realized He wants me all day, everyday!

And it’s Awesome!!

As God calls you to a closer relationship with Him you will see changes in yourself.

How do we start?

I’m glad you asked

First:  you have to read the Gospels to see how Jesus lived His life. I would start with the Gospel of John.

Second: Bring your thoughts to prayer. Maybe start with asking Him “How can I become more like you?”

How do I begin with Prayer?

Check out my post on Prayer.

Over time, with much prayer and looking to Jesus for guidance, you will see changes in your attitude, speech, the way you see the world and much more.

Basically, the way you live your Life will become different from the rest of the secular world.
