The Holy Spirit does not go on holidays

Cardinal Arinze

:) Cardinal Arinze is my top choice for Pope. I like his sense of humor.  It would be nice to see a pope laugh out loud.

Imagine joyful Sisters

By now you have probably heard that Pope Benedict the XVI is resigning. I’m not going to talk about that here because you can probably read all about it on other blogs and news outlets. I’ve heard some people are worried about what will happen next. I wouldn’t worry about it. The Church is guided by the Holy Spirit.

And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.

Matthew 16:18

With that in mind, this should lift your spirit.

I wanted to share a video with you that I came across on YouTube. I thoroughly enjoyed this video because seeing the joy these sisters have for Jesus gives us a glimpse at the path the Holy Spirit is taking the Church.

The Imagine Sisters are producing a 15 to 20 minute film about the lives of religious sisters. This looks to be a terrific project. I can’t wait for this movie to be released. For information on the film and how you can help this movie become a reality, please visit

From abortion to same-sex marriage to moral relativism, the church has some challenges to face, but if joy can spread through the entire church, if everyone showed the joy that Jesus brings to their life. The current culture will fall to its knees.

If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.

John 15:10-12
